The Spanish national team hosted Kosovo tonight in Seville, as part of the 3rd round of Group B of the World Cup qualifiers.
Big scandal
In the third round of the spring part of the qualifications, Šapnjolska hosted the national team of Kosovo. However, the match was overshadowed by a major scandal. Namely, the Spaniards wrote in small letters on the official Twitter profile of their football association Kosovo. To make matters worse, they did the same in the television broadcast.
On the graphic showing the initial composition of that national team, Kosovo was written in small letters, as well as the abbreviation "KOS" on the graphic showing the time and the result.
The reason for this move is the fact that Spain has not officially recognized Kosovo's independence. By the way, that country has so far been recognized by 22 of the 27 members of the European Union.
