HE SURPRISED US ALL: BUFFON IS SIGNING FOR A NEW CLUB AT THE AGE OF 43!

 Legendary Gianluigi 'Gigi' Buffon will leave his beloved Juventus for the second time in his career, so at least claims the famous Gazzetta.

 Namely, the paper claims that Porto, which wants to see him in its ranks this summer, has shown huge interest in Buffon. Buffon's contract with Juventus expires this summer and after that he is free on the market, so there are no obstacles.

 Buffon is expected to say goodbye to Juventus in the cup final against Atalanta in May. He has defended in just 10 games this season, and has played a total of 681 games for Juventus. "I have in my head a career end date, the last possible point. It's June 2023. However, there is a possibility that I will end my career at the end of this season," Buffon said recently.

'Gigi' is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of football, and it is interesting how Porto will be able to boast that they had Casillas and Buffon in a very short period of time. Sure, the Italian has yet to sign but we wouldn’t be surprised at all to end up there. 

 It has been speculated that he could make a romantic return to his Parma, but they are on their way to another league so it is hard to expect Buffon to be seen in another Serie A. Another option was to retire and stay on the Juventus board.
